Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina is providing free online resources to teachers and parents. We are doing this so our kids can spend more time planning for and dreaming about tomorrow, and less time worrying about today. We are committed to doing this until we can all be certain again.

JA of Eastern North Carolina Spotlight
JAENC Pilots JA Essential Employability Skills Workshops
Junior Achievement of Eastern NC will pilot its JA Essential Employability Skills Workshops in area schools during November and December, 2021.
Each 90-minute workshop consists of 3 sessions. JA volunteers will discuss 3 topics per session. Pilot topics include: Communication in the Workplace, Cellphones in the Workplace and Communicating About Yourself.
These workshops will help students understand the value of professional communication and soft skills, making them more employable to future employers across multiple career clusters.
Lessons will focus on social and soft skill competencies relating real-life experiences to job skills and preparing students for their future careers.

JA Inspire is a part of our work and career pathway program. It is a career-based program filled with learning experiences that are designed by individual industry teams to align with what the industry will need from its future employees.
The event is designed to transform students’ abstract ideas about work into tangible ambitions and plans, and to build their soft skills.
